Blink Mini Corner Mount Placement: Cover More of Every Room

Plan your Blink Mini corner mount placement around the real limits: V1-only fit, VHB tape surfaces, and a corner angle that widens your view without adding blind spots.

Start with compatibility, not the corner

The most useful placement plan is worthless if the bracket does not fit your camera. The Brainwavz corner wall mount for Blink Mini is designed specifically for the Blink Mini Version 1 indoor camera only and will not fit other brands or models. It is also not compatible with Blink Mini V2.

Check the model printed on your camera before you pick a corner. If you own a V2, this particular holder is not the right part, and no amount of repositioning will change that.

What the mount is built to do

Choose a corner that widens the view, not one that hides it

A corner mount works because the camera sits at the junction of two walls and looks diagonally across the room. That angle can cover more floor and doorway area than a camera pointed straight out from a flat wall. Pick a corner that faces the parts of the room you care about most, such as an entry path, a pet area, or the center of the room.

Avoid corners where a door, curtain, tall furniture, or a ceiling fixture blocks the diagonal view. Also think about what the camera will see behind it: a corner position often puts the camera's back toward a wall, which is good, but it can also put the lens too close to a nearby surface. Leave enough space around the holder for the camera to slide into place.

Surface checks before you peel the tape

  • Suitable surfaces: The holder uses VHB tape, so it needs a clean, solid surface that the tape can grip. The supplied information does not list specific approved materials, so test carefully and follow the tape manufacturer's guidance if you are unsure.
  • Surfaces to avoid: The manufacturer states the mount is not recommended for painted, plastered, or wallpapered walls. Those finishes can peel or fail under the tape's pull, so choose another corner or a different fixing method.
  • Clean first: Wipe the corner free of dust and grease, then let it dry completely before applying the holder. A clean surface gives the adhesive the best chance to hold.

Install the corner mount in the right order

  1. Step 1: Confirm the camera model: Check that you have a Blink Mini Version 1. The bracket will not fit a V2 or another brand.
  2. Step 2: Pick and prepare the corner: Choose a corner with a clear diagonal view and a suitable surface. Clean and dry the area.
  3. Step 3: Remove the safety tape cover and press the holder into position: Peel the backing from the VHB tape and press the holder firmly onto the corner in your chosen spot.
  4. Step 4: Let it sit for at least 6 hours: The supplied instructions say to let the holder sit for at least six hours before clipping the camera in. Use that time to double-check the angle and clearance.
  5. Step 5: Slide the camera into the hanger: Push the Blink Mini into the custom hanger until it is secure. No screws or bolts are needed for this step.

Use the second holder to cover a second angle

The two-pack includes two holders, so you can place mounts in different corners and move the camera between them. That is useful if you want to check one area during the day and another at night, or if you are not sure which corner gives the best view. Because the camera slides into the hanger, switching positions is quick once both holders are installed.

Keep the spare holder's tape backing intact until you are ready to use it. If you later decide to move a holder, expect the adhesive to be difficult to reuse; the supplied information does not describe a removal or reapplication procedure, so plan each position carefully before sticking.

Two holders, one camera, more coverage options

What the supplied information does not cover

The catalog does not specify a recommended mounting height, a maximum distance from the camera to the subject, or a list of approved wall materials beyond the painted, plastered, and wallpapered warning. It also does not describe how to remove the adhesive or whether the holder can be repositioned after it has set. Treat those as open questions and choose a conservative position you are unlikely to regret.

If you need a mount for a Blink Mini V2 or a different camera, this corner holder is not the right fit. Check the model first, then plan the corner around the view you actually need.
